Loving Life

You know it really hit me today what a wonderful life that I have. I have an amazing job, that I really enjoy. Even though I can get frustrated, anyone who works with engineers can understand my frustration. However, I have made the most amazing friends at my work.

I have also been blessed with an amazing family that really supports me and has been there for me, through thick and thin. My mom has always been a major support system in my life, even through my rebellious years. I am beginning to get closer to my Dad, which is a major breakthrough.

Best of all my relationship with my heavenly Father has really deepened this year. I have finally begun to understand when people have told me tht you can commune with God throughout the day, no matter what you are doing.

An out of this World Experience

Have you ever had one of those experiences with God where it just totally changes the way you see something? Well that happened to me a couple of weeks ago at my church on Sunday.

We were singing “Glorious God” and it’s hard for me to explain it but I just wanted to leap out of my earthly fleshly body and worship at God’s feet, for the wonderful, holy, awesome God that He is. He revealed to me during that week all of the wonderful things that He has done for me that I just haven’t seen.

I have learned throughout the years that when you don’t feel like praising or worshipping God, that is when you NEED to fall down on your knees.

To be honest the past month has been really hard for me. I have become more involved in my church and that is when I have been more attacked by the enemy.

Leaning on God

There are days when I feel like I am just gliding along with no problems whatsoever and then other days like today where it feels like their is major turbulence. I have been having some personal problems but the one thing that has kept me going has been leaning on God. Even when I didn’t particularly feel like reading His word and praying, I made it a point to just so that I could be close to my Father.

It seems like maybe I have finally learned to lean on God when I don’t particularly feel like it. I have gone around this mountain who knows how many times and I ALWAYS fall on my face when I try to make it on my own strength. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6 5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

Birthday Celebration’s

Okay I celebrated by birthday today with my mother and a very close family friend. We had the best time, I think it was the best birthday that I have ever had. It was so nice to just enjoy good fellowship without any drama added. I am adding some pictures of the very special day.

Proverbs a Day

Okay I really need to listen to my Mom more often.

She has told me for years to read one Proverbs everyday. You know how sometimes you tune your parents out. Okay I’ll get to it eventually.

But this time I decided to actually listen to her wise advise. I have been reading a Proverbs a day for the past couple of months and it simply amazes me how God can speak to different areas of my life with just one scripture.

Problems that I have been struggling for years with the answers are all right there. Decisions I need to make in my life have been sitting right there waiting for me to find.

For example my life has been crazy the past year with family issues coming to the forefront and I had been taking advice from the wrong people when I come across Proverbs 24:6

“So don’t go to war without wise guidance; vistory depends on having many advisors.”

WOW, when I saw that it just confirmed in my mind that the Word is ALIVE!

Random Ramblings

Hello all,

Forgive my rambling but I am new to this.

I was just wondering the other day while at work why we continue to make the same mistakes over and over again? Why we still have to go around the some mountain for the millionth time? Is it that we’re stubborn and want to do things our own way or is it as simple as not asking God for his help and direction.

I’m as guily as the next person of always trying to do things on my own strength. It has been my lifelong struggle just asking others for help let alone my heavenly Father.

However I am getting better every day. I have started asking God for his direction instead of going full steam ahead. I just need to continue to ask him for his help throughout the day and not only when I mess up.

Well that is just my thought for the day.
